چکیده

Background: Repeat laparoscopic hepatectomy (RLH) is safe and feasible, with favorable oncologic outcome for recurrent liver malignancies after curative intent resection, however it rarely performed an initial open (OH). The aim of the study to evaluate RLH compared repeat OH (ROH) following OH. Methods: Patients who underwent RH were retrieved from prospective data bases at Paul Brousse Henri Mondor hospitals, France Sir Run Shaw Hospital, China 2012 2019. patients divided into two groups according their RH, (group A) ROH B). Results: Sixty-four matched criteria, 20 in group A 44 B. Diagnoses primary hepatic lesions 59%, CRLM 39% others 2% cases. Median operative time blood loss significantly lower (199 vs 260 minutes, p< 0,001 100 400 ml, p= 0,011 respectively), as well overall postoperative complications (20% 50%, p=0,024). One patient died pancreatitis; this had been converted open. Another case was due exposure difficulties. hospital stay (5 8,5 days, 0,001). R1 resection 10% 22,7%, respectively (p=0,312). Conclusion: LRH a technique realistic option be considered selected previous OH.Conversion should when adhesions are more severe than expected.

Comparison of short-term outcomes in laparoscopic vs open hepatectomy.

IMPORTANCE Despite the increasing role of laparoscopy in partial hepatic resection, its short-term benefit compared with traditional open surgery remains unclear. OBJECTIVE To compare short-term (30-day) outcomes between laparoscopic (LH) and open (OH) partial hepatectomies. DESIGN, SETTING, AND PARTICIPANTS Retrospective matched case-control study from April 1, 2004, to March 31, 2013, in ...

Is laparoscopic hepatectomy superior to open hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma?

The low perioperative morbidity and shorter hospital stay associated with laparoscopic hepatectomy have made it an often-used option at many liver centers, despite the fact that many patients with hepatocellular carcinoma have cirrhosis, which makes the procedure more difficult and dangerous. Type of surgical procedure proves not to be a primary risk factor for poor outcomes after hepatic resec...

Laparoscopic Hepatectomy is Easier in Repeat Hepatectomy

Hepatic malignancies are frequently associated with primary liver disease, including hepatitis and cirrhosis. It is not uncommon for selected patients to require repeated operations for tumor recurrence. Subsequent operations are more challenging because of dense adhesions from prior operations combined with the inherent risk for liver dysfunction. We present the case of a 64-year-old man with ...

Laparoscopic and Open Splenectomy and Hepatectomy

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Patients undergoing synchronous open splenectomy and hepatectomy (OSH) for concurrent hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and hypersplenism usually have major surgical trauma caused by the long abdominal incision. Surgical procedures that contribute to rapid recovery with the least possible impairment are desired by both surgeons and patients. The objective of this study wa...
